Destiny Lakin is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, License #2022002631, supervised by Alicia Grindstaff, LPC. She earned her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 from Lamar University, a program accredited by The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). She is also a doctoral candidate for her Ph. D in Counseling Education and Supervision at Walden University.
Destiny has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma Informed Care. She has worked with clients ages 5 and up with anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and adjustment disorder. She is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and helping people become their best self.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and working on home renovation projects.
