Demi Olstad is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (#1137-6-15-21A), supervised by Amy Tahran (#739-11-15-12-299). She received her Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary. Demi has a special interest working with LGBTQIA+ issues. Demi believes in approach therapy from an integrative perspective, pulling from all theories when applicable. Demi has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Trauma Informed Care. She believes that the heart of therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist, from which the client can grow and feel empowered to make changes. Demi is passionate about ending the stigma associated with mental health and aiding in making mental health services accessible in North Dakota. In her free time Demi enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs, listening to true crime/scary stories audiobooks and podcasts, and finding new DIY projects to do around her house.
