David Gary II is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Lic# 85037. David is employed by Cerebral and supervised by Dr. Perry Collins, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, LPCS. David received his Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with concentrations in general counseling and disability advocacy. His theoretical orientation is integrative, pulling from approximately eight therapy approaches depending on the individual client and always taking a client centered approach. David has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and others. He believes in helping others help themselves bring out the strength within. His passion is for others to realize seeking mental health treatment and practicing self-compassion is a normal necessity, and advocating for mental health to open access to all that seek mental health services. His free time is spent hanging out with his wife and family, daily yoga practice, hiking, camping, fishing, and anything else that involves being outdoors.
