ABOUT Cynthia (Cindy) Alexander

Cynthia Alexander is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has more than 30 years of experience providing assessment and treatment services to children, families, and adults. Using a cognitive, solution focused approach, she has provided counseling services to clients dealing with trauma, abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger,
stress, relationship issues, compassion fatigue and burnout, and foster care and adoption. In addition, she has worked with military service members and their families both locally and overseas. Sometimes individuals seeking mental health services feel self-conscious but going to therapy takes strength and courage. She believes in establishing a supportive and collaborative relationship with her client to find solutions to the challenges they face. Take the first step. Without action, nothing changes. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, sewing, and going on adventures with her two grandchildren.
Quote: Believe in yourself and that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.

Everything begins with the resolve to take the first step. From that action wisdom arises and change begins. Without action, nothing changes. - Daisaku Ikeda
