ABOUT Christine Lucas

Christine Lucas is a trauma-informed Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia whose client populations range in age from young adults to senior citizens. Her clients present with symptoms of developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and gender identity issues. Her clients are taught to combine their own strengths and talents with evidenced-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. Christine’s counseling approach also utilizes her own background with art, writing, and gardening to create personalized treatment plans for every client. Christine believes strongly in educating people about their own autonomic nervous system patterns that lead to self-regulation and co-regulation with others. Humor, music, and creative expression are Christine's rapport-builders and make for an easy-going therapeutic alliance. She uses techniques from Polyvagal Theory to help clients develop insight into how body sensations, thoughts, emotions, and behavior intertwine to create mental wellness.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe. - John Muir
