Christina D. Clemente is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. She received her Masters degree in Social Work from Long Island University Post, with a concentration in Alcohol and Substance Abuse counseling. She went on to specialize in Psychiatric Social Work in an inpatient setting for eight years. Christina believes that each client is unique and the therapeutic process and relationship is developed on an individualized basis and driven by what works best for her clients. However she is experienced in and relies significantly on principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychoeducation. She is passionate about normalizing mental health treatment and improving accessibility to mental health care for all. As an Afro Latina woman, she is passionate about the opportunity to provide therapeutic experiences and mental health services for individuals that come from underserved populations, groups, classes, and communities. Christina states that her life's greatest work and most profound teacher for the past 18 years, has been motherhood, in addition to the source of her greying hair. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking for her family, and loves searching out all of the latest recipes on TikTok, as she and her family are serious "foodies." She loves to learn, and her first choice when it comes to streaming will almost always come from the historical documentary section.
