Chantelle Spence is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, IMH19498. Employed by Cerebral. Supervised by Amber Carreau-Davidson, Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Chantelle obtained her Master of Science in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience. Chantelle's approach is based in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with an emphasis on understanding patterns, monitoring progress, mutual development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Chantelle has experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her background consists of working with individuals with mental illnesses and substance abuse along with victims of rape, intellectuals with developmental disabilities, trauma, and behavioral problems.
