Carolyn Bruce is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and has been treating children adolescents, adults and families for over 15 years in a mental health setting. Carolyn has a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Community Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Carolyn uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Her evidenced-based approach allows her to effectively address emotional and behavioral issues for clients from diverse backgrounds. She has been trained in EDMR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition to working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a mental health setting, Carolyn works in private practice with adolescents, adults and families suffering with mental illness such as depression, anxiety, family marital relationship stress, and other emotional disorders. She gets excited when others are looking to explore their own lives for ways to improve no matter how small.
