Experience

Carmalita Johnson is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She has been afforded the opportunity to work with individuals, families, and groups of diversity, no matter the multicultural background. She practices Person Centered Therapy, as it is great for dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, abuse (physical, substances, etc.), and other mental health conditions, not to mention, it promotes building healthy Client/Counselor relationships. She also uses CBT in that it teaches useful and practical strategies that can be used in everyday life even after treatment.
