Carletta McDowell is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas and Tennessee. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu and obtained an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky with a major in Psychology and a minor in Family Studies. For 17 years she provided mental health services for the Department of Defense servicing our active duty, retirees, and their families. Carletta is formally trained in the evidenced-based treatments of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She is solution-focused and client-centered in providing services for anxiety disorders, depression, and life transitional journeys. Carletta will use a variety of techniques in the counseling process to ensure you receive the most benefit from your counseling experience. She strives to help others gain the tools to empower themselves to overcome challenging situations in their life while providing a safe and confidential environment to work through these difficult times.
