Beverly "BJ" Word is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Mental Health Service Provider) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. BJ specializes in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused-Brief Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful patterns of thinking that are hindering their progress. Taking a person-centered approach to therapy and life, BJ meets people where they are and creates a safe space for others to grow. As a result of her personal struggles with imposter syndrome, anxiety, and depression, BJ is passionate about helping women who have similar struggles. She works diligently with her clients to help them shake the guilt often associated with prioritizing their own well-being! In her free time, BJ loves traveling, exploring cultural experiences, reading, and watching cartoons!
