ABOUT Barbara Neal

Barbara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 15 years of professional experience as an educator, therapist, and former non-profit leader. She is a proud graduate of Howard University and also has her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seton Hall University. She is passionate about creating supportive and collaborative spaces for people to get support in any area that they need including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, racial trauma, grief and loss, phases of life changes, and many more. She recognizes the importance of paying attention to all the relationships that clients have with those around them, their family of origin, their chosen family's, sociocultural factors, religious and spiritual beliefs, and a variety of other things that make clients who they are and impact how they move about their daily life.

Barbara is committed to working collaboratively with clients to set and achieve goals that utilize their strengths to help them live a more satisfying life. Whether they are feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, experiencing a life change, recent loss, or struggling in their various relationships, Barbara supports clients along their journey through high-quality, culturally relevant therapy that supports clients in learning and enhancing their skills to deal with life and relationships.

In her free time Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and indulging her inner foodie as a member of the Yelp Elite.
