Ashley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from CUNY Hunter College and a Master's in Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Practice- Health & Mental Health, from Columbia University in New York City. Ashley has worked in various mental health settings in New York and also, overseas, in the Caribbean. Ashley brings a level of cultural competency, diversity and ethnic inclusiveness to her practice that appreciates individuals from all backgrounds. She understands the importance of forming strong, trusting connections with her clients and being emotionally attuned to their needs. Ashley is passionate about normalizing and encouraging mental health care and dismantling the barriers to accessing treatment. In her free time, Ashley enjoys dancing and listening to soca music, creating social work media content, cooking cultural meals and going to the park with her daughters. Ashley has dedicated her professional career to improving the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable children and adults through mental health counseling.
