Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Advanced Addiction Counselor practicing in Michigan and Hawaii. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, with specialty in mental health, sexuality, and substance use. Amy is experienced in working on various issues with specialization in depression, anxiety, OCD, trichotillomania, PTSD/trauma, sex, and substance use. Amy has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) models including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD as well as Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She works with many helpers, creatives, and Highly Sensitive People (HSP). She is trained in EMDR. Amy sees people who desire an authentic therapy experience free from judgment or stigma. Her clients find relief knowing they can talk about what is really going on in their lives, rather than what they feel a therapist wants to hear.
