Alison Payne is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor. She is supervised by Gina Gagen, LPC Supervisor #64538. She received her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. Alison focuses on creating a trusting, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe, accepted, and heard while they explore healing, growth, and personal transformation. An essential part of her work with clients is helping them to normalize their experiences and to identify and access internal strengths and resources that they already carry within themselves. She is trained in therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma-Informed Care. In her free time, Alison enjoys kayaking, fishing, exploring nature, traveling, listening to music, and watching her children play sports.
