Aghashiyah Wilson is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in the state of North Carolina. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work, a certification in treating survivors of trauma and extensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy. Aghashiyah has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families with a wide range of mental health diagnoses that includes mood disorders, behavioral disorders and personality disorders. Aghashiyah utilizes evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients achieve their goals. Aghashiyah understands that no two people are the same and as such, she tailors her skills to meet the individual's specific needs. As a warm, nonjudgemental and caring therapist, she utilizes the empowerment approach to help individuals identify emotions and underlying problems and strengths. When she is not work with clients, she enjoys hanging out with with family and friends, shopping and vacationing to different areas of the world.
