Zenia Yvette Martinez is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her career as a licensed vocational nurse and worked in a nursing home before deciding to further her education. Zenia went on to complete her degree as a Registered Nurse and worked in home health, and case management in Managed Care Organizations for over 9 years. She pursued her education and earned a Master’s in Nursing Administration. While continuing to work as a registered nurse in case management she enrolled in a Post Master’s program for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Post Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She has experience as an inpatient and outpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner, PHP, IOP, Telehealth, along with assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, and managing mental illness and behavioral health issues across the life span. In her free time, she enjoys baking and cooking along with spending time with her family.
