Valerie Reap is a dual-board certified nurse practitioner. She began her career as an RN working in neuro-critical care and neurology research. She then went on to pursue her Masters in Nursing/ Family Nurse Practitioner degree and Doctorate of Nursing Practice at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She has practiced in Emergency Medicine since 2012, caring for a diverse patient population suffering from both acute and chronic mental health conditions. Her clinical experience caring for patients with socioeconomic barriers to mental healthcare sparked her interest in utilizing Telehealth services as a method of improving access to affordable care.
In her free time, Valerie enjoys outdoor activities, such as fly fishing, camping, and hiking.
