Ugonna Duru is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about bringing accessible mental health services to all.
She started her career working as a Registered nurse at a General Hospital, where she cared for patients with various medical conditions; She discovered that several of the patients also had co-existing mental health conditions that were not being fully addressed. This identified barrier in mental healthcare inspired her to pursue a master’s degree in nursing and a post master’s certification in Psychiatric mental health to contribute to bridging the gap.
