Tyler Glisson is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He started as an Emergency Department Nurse before working in the U.S. Army and community mental health as a Nurse Practitioner. He received his Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida as a Family Nurse Practitioner and his post-graduate certificate at the University of Kansas as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He was the Director of Virtual Health while active duty and believes Telepsychiatry is an integral way to reach all communities. His experiences with service members, veterans, their families and rural community mental health has made him passionate about trying to improve access to culturally competent and holistic mental health care. In his free time, he enjoys running or hiking to fuel his love of pizza, spending time with his family, playing games, and pretending to be a coffee connoisseur.
