Tracy Picmann is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. After graduating from Purdue University, Tracy came home to Michigan and started her career as a Registered Nurse in 2009. She has experience working in cardiology, oncology and intensive care. Tracy went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Michigan, graduating in 2015. She has worked for the last 6 years in internal medicine, seeing patients in the hospital as well as in office. In her current practice, Tracy works hard to break down barriers and destigmatize mental health care for her patients. The best part of her job is when a patient comes back for a follow-up and tells her their mental health has improved from interventions implemented. Tracy's goal is to work with patients on a plan that works well for them. She finds patients often fear seeking help because they may feel they lose control; Tracy wants her patients to feel empowered to work with her to tackle their mental health issues. Tracy lives in Michigan with her high school sweetheart and their two toddler boys. They enjoy traveling, namely to Disney and Universal Studios. She also enjoys knitting and reading - two activities that help her mental health.
Hope is the thing with feathers- That perches in the soul- And sings the tune without the words- And never stops-at all. - Emily Dickinson
