Tracey Castella is an Advanced Practice Nurse who is a graduate of Drexel University and University of Massachusetts, Amherst, who has experience working as a Neurology APN and is double board certified in Psychiatry. Tracey has treated many patients over the years with depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, PMDD, and traumatic brain injury. Tracey brings a vast experience from her practice in neurology and incorporates that experience into her psychiatric practice. Understanding the brain and how it functions, along with how unique each individual's brain works, has proved to be key in diagnosing and treating each individual. The concept of mental health is much more than a mere absence of brain disease, it has become indispensable for neurological and psychiatric practice and care. Psychiatry relies on neuroscience implicitly when it comes to prescribing drugs, which is on the defining operational characteristics as a professional group in the mental health arena. This experience and training has proven to be highly effective in diagnosing and medication management.
