Toni Orum is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She started her career as a nursing assistant working in long-term care where she worked full-time while going to school to become a registered nurse. She spent 9 years working as an Oncology/Infusion Nurse before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner from Bradley University. When she became a Nurse Practitioner, she worked in many different areas such a rural urgent care, with Veterans, in a correctional facility where the inmates often have psychiatric disorders and medication management. She has worked with the elderly doing Medicare assessments, and with troubled youth doing Psychiatric.
Her experience working in a rural area where access to quality mental healthcare is limited, has given her a passion to become a provider in psychiatric care. She feels that being able to provide high quality mental health care is something she has been called to do; this is an area that is lacking in healthcare. In her free time, she is often in the beautiful Big Horn Mountains with her family, fishing, camping, and hiking.
It is only in sorrow bad weather masters us; in joy we face the storm and defy it. - Amelia Barr
