ABOUT Tiffeny Kombate

Tiffeny Kombate, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She graduated with her Associates in Nursing degree in 2009 from Darton College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Grand Canyon University in 2012. After working as a Registered Nurse for seven years in the intensive care unit, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner. While working as a nurse practitioner in primary care, she felt the impact of the shortage of mental health care providers and lack of access to psychiatric care and this prompted her to further her education. She completed her Post-Master’s certification with a concentration in Psychiatric Mental Health from Florida State University. Over the past five years, she has varied experience in treating anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Tiffeny uses evidence-based practice to prescribe the appropriate medications with or without therapy in order to treat her patients. From experience, the use of both medication and appropriate psychotherapy, can help one achieve desired patient outcomes. Tiffeny’s focus is based on providing holistic, evidence-based care centered on social, cultural, and preventive aspects of mental health. Tiffeny is married with four children. Her youngest child is a newborn and keeps her and her husband very busy. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking and trying new things.
