Syreeta Dendy in her 20th year of professional nursing and she has been working as a nurse practitioner since 2017. She has worked in a variety of areas including medical-surgical, critical care, interventional radiology, clinical coordinator in an associate degree program and didactic/clinical instructor As a nurse practitioner she has worked with veterans doing compensation and disability exams, provider in a substance abuse clinic and prescriber/medication management behavioral health senior clients in assisted living facilities. The behavioral/mental health community is near and dear to her. Oftentimes, mental health is neglected and it is time it is treated like the true medical condition it is. She hopes to contribute to breaking down the stigma associated with mental health. She is newly married to her husband Byron and they have two amazing girls Logann (13) and Leiana (3). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids and loved ones, traveling, trying new and interesting foods and cultures, and having fun in general.
