Dr. Priano is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her BSN at Immaculata University and her masters and Doctor of Nursing degrees at Widener university. She completed a post-doctoral Neurosciences NP fellowship through Capital Health of New Jersey and has most recently worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting with Capital Health’s Institute of Neurosciences and the Integrated Pain Management divisions. She has an extensive and diverse clinical and nursing management background spanning greater than 35 years throughout the Philadelphia area in the psychiatric and emergency fields and currently continues as a peer-reviewer for the Clinical Advisor journal. She has co-written and published a book with FA Davis of Philadelphia to help new nurses just entering the field. Her doctoral practice improvement project published by Widener University researched, developed, and implemented a successful nursing and correctional facility educational and patient advocacy protocol. This program and learning modules system earned her keynote speaker status for 2 Graduate symposia at Widener University. She has served as a BSN and FNP educator for three local universities (TCNJ, Neumann University, and Gwynedd Mercy University) and has been active in Pennsylvania nurse practitioner practice and substance disorder patient funding-related Bill advocacy at the capital level in Harrisburg. Dr. Priano is a staunch patient and nurse advocate. She believes in evidence-based practice and compassion- guided care. Dr. Priano is also a lover of animals, gardens, books and reading, flea markets, antiques, and interior design.
