Sophia is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Sophia graduated from the University of Delaware School of Nursing in 2010 and spent 6 years as a Nurse in the US Army, providing opportunities for treating diverse patient populations across the country and around the world. This is where her passion for trauma-informed care began. The experience she gained working with vulnerable populations drew Sophia to mental health in an impassioned way and Sophia chose to further her education and bolster her ability to contribute to her community by completing her Doctorate nursing practice degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. As a first-generation American, daughter of immigrant parents, and proud Military Veteran, Sophia has a profound passion for caring for the mental health of underserved populations in her community. She believes that mental health is essential to well-being and everyone deserves access to these services. In her free time, Sophia enjoys traveling the world and searching for the elusive balance between a love for fitness and a love for delicious food.
