Sneha Banka is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who received her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Columbia University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC Davis.
Sneha’s interest in psychology first began in high school and eventually paved the way for her pursuit of education in mental health care. As part of her clinical program at Columbia University, Sneha had been trained in performing psychiatric evaluations and the use of psychotropics to treat mental illnesses. She enjoys working with patients who suffer from mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, and PTSD. Sneha’s philosophy of psychiatric nursing centers around holistic patient care through combining psychotherapy modalities and psychopharmacology. Hearing her patients’ stores of recovery is what keeps Sneha committed to this profession and keeps her going.
In her free time, Sneha enjoys learning the violin, watching all sorts of documentaries on Netflix, and spending time with her family.
