Sharon Chapman-Bonilla is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has a decade of clinical experience ranging from acute care, cardiology, dialysis and psychiatry. She has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and graduated summa cum laude for her Master's of Science in Nursing degree. Her catalyst to serve others began when she created a program for the homeless in her community. The stories of trauma that reverberated on the streets inspired her to make a difference by eradicating stigma surrounding mental illness. Her passion is to improve access to mental health care regardless of socioeconomic status and geographical challenges. When Sharon isn’t caring for clients she can be found hiking, gardening and cooking vegetarian dishes.
Participating in regular spiritual practices such as Scripture meditation, memorization, and prayer also contributes to a healthier mind and body by reducing stress, increasing brain capacity, and even guarding against memory loss. - Dr. Amen
