Shara Short is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. She has a Bachelors in Psychology, her Registered Nursing Degree, a Masters in Nursing and she served as Assistant Faculty at a local college . She has experience in pediatric intensive care, psychiatry, and pediatric step down in several hospitals in Virginia. Shara has worked in large metropolitan areas, federal government hospitals, military hospitals, and very rural areas with limited access to health care. She is passionate about providing access to affordable, quality mental health care no matter where a patient may be located. In her free time, you can find her volunteering for Girl Scouts, journaling and spending time with her family at the beach.
