Sarah is a journalist turned board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, who wants to hear your story. In the ICUs where she worked for 9 years, she is known affectionately as Code Red due to her ability to help in crisis situations. Due to her experiences as a reporter and her work throughout the country, there is very little that she finds shocking or embarrassing - which helps her patients and their families feel at ease and that they are well-cared for.
At age twenty, Sarah earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the renowned Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. After writing for close to a decade, she earned an accelerated Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Capital University and then a Master’s Degree with a psychiatric concentration from Walsh University.
Sarah was born and raised in the Appalachian foothills of southeastern Ohio. She enjoys spending time with her family and “granny crafts” including crochet, canning, gardening, and sewing.
