Sara Bates King is a board-certified nurse practitioner, a military-spouse and mother to two amazing kiddos. Her interest in healthcare began at Davidson College, where she studied international politics and, upon graduation, explored midwifery and women's health as a Watson Fellow in 7 countries. Eager to become a nurse practitioner, she attended Vanderbilt University School of Nursing where she earned her dual Masters of Science in Nursing, specializing in family medicine and midwifery. She has a unique background in the areas of Preventative Medicine, Women's Health, Family Medicine and Mental Health and has served in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Sara's experience growing up in the mountains of North Carolina and her studies internationally instilled in her the critical importance of access to affordable, exceptional mental health care. She’s passionate about providing empathetic and evidence-based care to clients. When she is not in her office, you'll likely find her chasing her children on the playground, planning a new hiking adventure, sipping tea with a good book, or dodging lego pieces in the living room.
