Rose Marie Hoiten is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. She also holds a certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She started her career as a registered nurse working in various ER, ICU, and labor & delivery settings. She has worked in remote frontier hospitals and large tertiary centers in various states. She then went on to get a Master of Science in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner and then a Post Master’s Certificate in Nurse-Midwifery. She has worked in various diverse settings doing preventative health, women’s health, rural healthcare, and emergency medicine. Her training in various healthcare specialties and regions has sparked an interest in the need for all to have access to mental health services, especially women in all stages of life and those people who live in rural areas. In her free time, she likes to cook, bake, knit, read, and spend time with her large family. She and her husband own a registered herd of Polypay sheep that also occupies her time.
