Ricardo Sedan is a board-certified nurse practitioner. He was born in Puerto Rico and came to the continental US at the age of 12. After years in educational television, and a long stint as a professional card player, he began his career in healthcare as a Spanish medical interpreter, and developed a passion for helping to bring medical care to the under-served. Ricardo was a Schweitzer fellow, and went on to get a Master of Science in Nursing to become a nurse practitioner, working in primary care and urgent care, usually with Latino populations. He learned first-hand how crucial it is to have multi-disciplinary medical care, and saw a need for more accessible mental health care. He has trained or worked in dermatology, cardiology, psychiatry, correctional health, primary care, urgent care, chronic illness care, and family medicine. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to use this technology to help make behavioral health care more accessible. Ricardo is an amateur filmmaker and an avid game-player. He lives with his wife, two teenage sons, and two cats.
