ABOUT Rahshon M. Muhammad

Rahshon Muhammad is a board certified nurse practitioner. She started her nursing career in the ICU and worked in many hospitals throughout the country. Mrs. Muhammad transitioned to primary care in a clinic with the goal of helping to improve the overall health of her patients, outside of a hospital ICU. While working in primary care, she provided mental health services to her patients. The shortage of mental health professionals in the community has driven her strong desire to improve community access to care.

Mrs. Muhammad obtained her Master's degree from the University of Alabama. She has worked in urgent care, emergency care, psychiatry and family health throughout her career. Her goals are to eliminate barriers to mental health care and increase access for all communities.

In her free time , she enjoys reading, sewing and gardening.
