Rachel Jones is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She started her career as a Psychiatric Nurse at a mental health hospital, and went on to work in many diverse areas of mental health including perinatal psychiatry, adult crisis stabilization, eating disorders, and more. After several years working as a Psychiatric Nurse in the hospital, she received her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and became a psychiatric nursing instructor as well as an outpatient mental health provider during the initial height of the pandemic, helping patients manage their mental health needs from home. She feels strongly about increasing accessibility to high quality, thoughtful, and personable mental health care. She practices evidence-based prescribing practices with an emphasis on creating a warm and caring environment so that patients can realize they are not alone in navigating this process. In her free time, you can find her baby-talking to her dog, volunteering with foster youth, and making up ridiculous songs on the ukelele!
