Rachel McLean is a board-certified nurse practitioner who started her career in 1997 as a registered nurse and brings over 20 years of nursing experience to her practice. She has worked in a variety of roles, caring for people all ages and conditions, and now specifically focuses on mental health because of her belief in the importance of treating the whole person. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018 and has worked as a nurse practitioner in family medicine and university student health clinics. She has found that most of her patients have struggled with some type of mental health challenge whether it is related to depression or anxiety, especially in the setting of our current pandemic. She feels passionate about the need to increase access to and deliver quality, affordable mental health services to all people, no matter their background. In her free time, you’ll find her soaking up the Colorado sun, biking, singing, writing or Zumba dancing.
