Pearl Rucker is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Rucker earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Alabama with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Specialty. She began her psychiatric nursing career with Avita Community Partners Community Service Board (CSB) in 2015, joined Advantage Behavioral Health CSB in 2017, and Augusta University/East Central Regional Psychiatric Hospital Partnership in 2019 as a hospital Nurse Administrator. Ms. Rucker soon discovered her calling to serve those living with mental health challenges and severe mental illnesses. Ms. Rucker is gracious, and respectful with clients, and has a passion for helping them manage life’s ups, downs, and uncertainties which can affect their ability to simply “be themselves.” In her words, “I am blessed at each client encounter to see individuals grow to become actively engaged in their treatment, and begin to live their fullest life as I have after trauma, disappointment, and my own losses.” Ms. Rucker has committed her life’s work to ensure client advocacy, safety, rights, autonomy, dignity, improved quality of care, and right to self-determination.
