My Uong started her FNP career at one of the biggest centers for substance use disorder in the nation: BRC Recovery. Her role as a family provider was to manage co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD; as well as other medical conditions that were the roots to relapses. After a year there, she transitioned to functional medicine, where she spent two years exploring how nutrition and environment affect the brain and lead to mental health disorders. By incorporating both medication management, nutrition education, and advanced lab value analysis, Mimi had successfully managed multiple complex mental health disorders such as treatment resistant mood disorders.
