Monique Sinclare is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. She has a humanistic philosophy, treating the body as a whole- mind, body, and spirit- and not just a series of parts (as did Hippocrates, “The Father of Medicine”). She earned a Bachelors in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, followed by a Masters in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Always drawn to helping others, Monique went on to pursue a Bachelors in Nursing from National University and worked as a registered nurse in cardiac and mental health units for years. As her passion for mental health and helping her patients grew, she went on to pursue and complete a Master of Science degree in Nursing, with a specialty as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her experience treating patients with various psychiatric illnesses has made her staunchly committed to providing individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients. When Monique isn't providing care to patients, she enjoys watching movies, hearing live music, and eating good food with family and friends.
What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation. -Glenn Close
