Monica Dunn is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She started her career at the age of 22 working as a Certified Nursing Assistant for patients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. As a nurse, she worked in many diverse areas including Urgent and Emergency Care, Intensive care, Internal medicine, Home Health care, Orthopedic surgery and Interventional radiology in several hospitals and clinics across Illinois. She has served as preceptor to nurses and new Nurse practitioners. Her training and experiences in both large metropolitan areas and very rural areas with limited access to health care have ignited a passion to provide access to affordable, quality mental health care no matter where a patient may be located. In her free time, you can find her cycling trails, reading about important historical figures, walking her dogs or playing backgammon.
