Melissa has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 3.5 years. She began her nursing career 13 years ago working at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, ME working on a cardiopulmonary step-down intensive care unit where she worked as a charge nurse for 10 years. She also spent some time working as a travel nurse in Florida. In addition, she worked at Husson University as an adjunct clinical instructor for undergraduate nurses. Melissa graduated from Husson University with her family nurse practitioner degree in 2018 and is certified to practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is currently enrolled in the FMPNP certificate program at Husson University as well.
She enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old daughter, friends, and family. She loves German Shorthaired Pointers and would have a whole house full if she could. Cooking, traveling, and exercise are important to her in her free time.
