Melissa Boyd is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Melissa started her career as a Registered Nurse. She has over twenty years psychiatric nurse experience in a variety of settings to include inpatient, outpatient, in-home care, and forensics. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at her local college. She then went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She has worked in a variety of areas including psychiatry, emergency care, urgent care, surgery, med-surg, home health, and hospital management. Providing psychiatric care is her passion. She believes everyone should have access to high-quality mental health care. She is devoted to providing holistic and individualized care. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. They love camping and outdoor adventures. She also leads and participates in several volunteer opportunities in her rural community.
