ABOUT Mary Sebas

Mary Sebas is a child of Central Minnesota steeped in the life of farming, animals as playmates, the Mississippi River, out her doors as her playground. Being physically fit and keenly aware of the Nature's rhythms prepared her for the highs and lows of rigorous scholastic ambitions and the confidence in her commitment to the nursing profession's biopsychosocial wholistic approach to healing across the life span. Her son and twin daughters grew up in Central Minnesota, experiencing swimming and water skiing on the Mississippi River, leaning to alpine ski while she volunteers as a National Ski Patrol instructor. They adopted baby chicks and feral kittens from the farm, helped her train horses and dogs, and developed the inner confidence from mastering skills of survival and problem solving in the Natural world. They have gone on to travel the world, learning numerous languages and succeeded in their academic passions. Her professional career as a family nurse practitioner over four decades has enriched her life with countless partnership within the healthcare community from academic teaching with the underserved urban populations to the demands of rural critical access clinics. She is passionately dedicated to underlying unifying principle that every human being deserves both mental and physical health care to achieve their life long goals.

Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process. - Anne Wilson Schaef
