Marie Anne, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who has worked in community, outpatient, and hospital settings with people of all ages. She received her Master’s in Nursing- PMHNP from Hunter College and possess Master's in Nursing Education from Excelsior College. Conditions Marie Anne specializes in treating include depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma related disorders and more. Before joining the practice, Marie Anne spent considerable time in the outpatient settings at CityBlock Health, the Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy, the Institute for Family Health, ICL - Institute for Community Living ,where she helped to co- lead two ACT teams, Well Life Network where she was the lead on the Brooklyn ACT team, also has spent time working in Private Practice type setting. Marie Anne values qualities such as compassion, understanding, empathy, kindness, being non judgmental, treating people with respect and dignity. She knows how to listen to people and validate their concerns. Marie Anne provides medication management and therapy services. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care, taking into account the whole person, their background, beliefs, faith, what is important to each patient. The holistic approach is utilized when creating a plan of care and recommending treatment modalities. Marie Anne believes everyone is a unique individual and is treated as such, no two people are the same, and treatment planning is unique to each person. Marie Anne believes in patient's being proactive in their health/mental health care and encourages patients to ask questions, offer feedback and be an active part of treatment planning.
