Maria A. Reid BSN, APRN-BC started her nursing career in 2004 after obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Hampton University with honors. After working in the intensive inpatient setting for several years she returned to obtain her master’s in nursing in 2008 from Georgetown University, one of the nation’s leading research and academic institutions.
Since 2008 she has been able to gain experience from numerous leadership roles within her profession. Her passion for psychiatry has led her to work with clients across the life span in numerous settings from private practices to acute care facilities. She is currently completing her post-master’s certificate in the specialty of psychiatric mental health nursing.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, five kids and two dogs. She also enjoys curating creative memorable experiences for family and friends.
