Lisa Kazakis, APRN Biography
Lisa Kazakis, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing at Walden University and graduated with academic honors. After experiencing a diverse nursing career, she continued with her advanced degree working in an outpatient clinic and then working within a Provider practice group covering a specialty area of substance abuse and mental health. Lisa is pursuing her second nurse practitioner certification in Post Graduate studies at Rivier University, Nashua, New Hampshire in mental health. In the last couple of years, she has specialized in Addiction medicine including treatment of mental health dual diagnosis such as substance abuse concurrently with psychiatric disorders including but not limited to ADHD, depression, and anxiety. Her training and experience treating chronic and acute medical illness’ have allowed her a solid understanding of how physical health impacts mental health and vise verse. Lisa shows empathy and compassion and sets goals to empower her patients to live life more fully and makes recommendations as needed for when a higher level of psychotherapy is beneficial. Her practice utilizes evidenced based, therapeutic interventions to achieve specific, collaborative goals towards healing. Lisa enjoys hiking with her Great Pyrenees who is a rescue dog named Murphy, mountain and road biking, and skiing with her family. She has three adult children that bring her inspiration and joy.
