Latonia Mitchell is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She began her career working as a psychiatric registered nurse in a long-term mental health institution over 20 years ago. Since that time, she has worked in mental health residential rehabilitation treatment, community mental health, and outpatient mental health. She received a Postgraduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Alabama. Her training and experience with various populations, as well as in rural areas, diverse communities, and in urban settings has guided and supported her philosophy of aiding and supporting individuals while experiencing psychological changes. In her free time, she reads, travels, enjoys movies, and participates in various sports.
