Ms. Kriupa Samson is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her career as a psychiatric RN at a residential psychiatric facility in Chicago, IL. She experienced the difficulty that underserved populations were dealing with in order to receive high quality mental health services that were affordable. This fueled her to pursue her advanced nursing practice Masters at New York University. While attending school full-time, Ms. Samson also worked full-time in a variety of settings including pediatric and adult home care, school-based care, hospice care, detox, and substance abuse treatment. Following her graduation, she worked as a provider at an outpatient private practice providing treatment for a variety of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, substance abuse treatment, and borderline personality disorder. She also began to work in a psychiatric inpatient unit at a major city hospital in Brooklyn where she had acutely ill patients with various chronic disorders including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. Ms. Samson currently works in the psychiatric emergency room and psychiatric consult/liaison services in her hospital where she serves a vast variety of patients of all ages. Ms. Samson is an experienced and well-rounded provider and she is passionate about providing high quality, easily accessible, and affordable mental health care to all patients she encounters. In her free time, Ms. Samson enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her 2 cats, and being with her family and friends when she can.
