Kife McDowell is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She started her mental health care as a registered nurse for 6 years before deciding to return to school to further her education to relieve the burden of access to mental health care. She received her Master of Science-Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, track from University of Texas-Health Science center where she joined Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society for nursing to which to date she is still a member. Her experience in working in both urban and rural areas with limited access to mental healthcare have kindled a passion within her to provide access to safe, high quality, affordable mental health care without patient location limits. In her spare time, she enjoys vacationing at any place near the water.
